Nushrat Bharucha was born and brought up into a Muslim family in Mumbai, India. She studied at Lilavati Podar High School where she was very passionate in theater. She has worked in many TV advertisements. She truly amazed the audience with her good looks, dedication towards her work and down to earth behavior. Nushrat debuted in Jai Santoshi Ma (2006). She later acted in Love Sex aur Dhokha directed by Dibakar Banerjee and shot to prominence with Pyaar Ka Punchnama (2011) produced by Wide Frame Pictures. The film is story of three bachelors who fall in love with three different girls. Nushrat plays one of the three girls, Neha, who is in a live-in relationship with her boyfriend, Rajat. She gained popularity as ‘Babu’, Rajat’s nickname for her in the film.
