Deepika Singh was born on 26 July, 1989 in Delhi, into a Rajput family. She has a younger sister named Purva Singh. She did her post-graduation in Business Administration with Marketing as specialisation from Punjab Technical University and joined her father’s business of garments. Her acting career took off after being cast as the female lead in the television serial Diya Aur Baati Hum in 2011. She portrays the role of Sandhya, a girl who aspires of becoming an Indian Police Service officer but ends up getting married with a shop owner. Deepika was dating Rohit Raj from the start of her show. Lately the actress got married to Rohit Raj Goual the director of her show Diya Aur Baati Hum. She received numerous nominations and awards for her performance, such as the Favourite Bahu award at the Star Parivaar Awards and the Best Gold Female Debut at the Zee Gold Awards.
