She done her starting studies from popular Miami Dade County Public School and later decided to finish her Bachelor of Arts studies from University of Florida. After her graduation Alexa give her auditions for many television shows and finally got signed in popular tv show named Evening Shade as Emily Newton 1993. Her second chance came with an comedy film named Little Giants directed by Duwayne Dunham that released in 1994.
